The interchangeable pure copper tips with gold plating provide high conductivity and improved solder flow, making them suitable for cleaning oxidised or residue-covered pads. The Ball Head tip geometry allows controlled pressure on fragile FPC connectors without sharp edges that could scratch copper tracks or damage the insulating varnish on the board.
